Carter Cheek is a partner at Silveron Capital and is actively involved in the fund raising efforts for a variety of energy development companies. Carter was most recently Vice President of finance for an independent energy company where he executed a $90 million Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) transaction for a newly formed ethanol company concurrent with a reverse merger into a publicly traded entity. Carter has also been involved in numerous other corporate fund raising activities and sales of assets, including the sourcing of $100 million from a Canadian Income Trust for investment in a 230 megawatt combined cycle power generation facility, as well as the sale of a 180 megawatt facility to VEPCO. Prior to being in the energy business, Carter spent four years in investment banking working on corporate high yield and municipal bond transactions. Carter received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Millsaps College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.
